The VG

This jerkbait, named VG which is short for fishshaped glider in Dutch, is a beautiful lure made by Dirk Van Nieuwenhove. As the name allows you to deduct, it's a glider in the shape of a whitefish. It has been weighted slow sinking so you can fish it in many ways. Short, quick twitches make it dart left-right while a long sweep or pull makes it move straight ahead through the water first and then turn to the side. You can achieve a deadly combination by alternating short twitches with a short pause to let the lure sink a bit, then a long sweep followed by another pause. Because it sinks so slow, you can easily fish it at any depth you want to. It's just a pleasure for the eyes to see this bait dart through the water with its gracious moves. You can easily achieve this action. And then I haven't spoken about the eye for detail, the enormous range of colors and the precision with which this lure-artist creates his lures. You just have to try it to know what I'm talking about. And just imagine that this is but one of his many creations!
