Pike, great and small.
This is the first book written by the pike specialist from Friesland
(The Netherlands) Hans de Boer. Hans dedicated his first book
to his father and fishing friend Dirk, a true legend amongst pike
anglers.
Being one of Holland's pioneers of the SNB (Pike Angling Club
Holland-Belgium) , Dirk de Boer dedicated himself to promoting
angling for pike, "our national predatory fish", and the use of
lures. His son Hans (born in 1964) entertains the readers in
"pike, great and small" in a narrative style and allows them to
follow in his father's footsteps. His preference when it comes to
fishing for pike is actively covering the "polders", preferably with
a handmade spinner or crankbait.
Among other things, Hans de Boer explains throughout the book
how to build your own spinners and crankbaits. Together with
fishing stories and many practical examples, his book is a must-
have for beginners as well as for the more experienced pike
anglers among us.
