Pine-wood

Is because of it's natural high boyance very suited for surfacelurews. The great disadvantage is that Pine keeps extracting when it comes in contact with water. This gives a lot of problems with the different paintlayers.

Mahogany wood

Is very suited for somewhat bigger jerkbaits aswell. The wood can be mold nicely.

Oak wood

Can be used for jerkbaits aswell as crankbaits. It is very hard wood. And therefore not easely damaged by piketeeth. But because the wood is that hard it is a lot harder to work it.

Abachi wood

Abachi is a hard version of Balsawood, and is used in sauna's a lot. Very suited if you fish a lot in the polders or other shallow waters.

Beech wood

Neech-wood is very good for building Gliders and Hybrids. This because of the high density of the wood. This means that it takes only a little lead to get the jerkbait sinking. And therefore works a lot smoother. The disadvantage is that it soaks up a lot of water. You need to remeber this during the leading.
