This glider is based upon jerkbaits such as the Cobb's countdown roundnosed gliders and the Hughes river hughey gliders. However my version has a rounder body that is necessary to achieve a better wobble during the gliding movement. My main reason for developing this glider was the lack of a smaller, lighter version for pike fishing.
Woodtype
30mm thick beech wood.
Leadholes
- Front: 12mm diameter and 20mm deep.
- Tail: 12mm diameter and 10mm deep.
Shape
- Round off all the edges but make sure the lure looks more or less like I showed in the sketch. This is really what you should go for.
- Make sure the nose is round to achieve a better side to side movement.
- Use a musky screw-eye of 2" long for the nose eye and make sure it is positioned vertically rather than horizontally. If you position it horizontally, it will dive rather than glide side to side at the same depth.
- Use two standard 1" screw-eyes for the tail and belly hook hangers.
Hooks
2x size 3/0 VC conecut.
Weight
110 gr.
