Up

Wood

18 or 22 mm thick beech wood.

Leadholes

Drill a hole with a diameter of 10 or 12 mm and 10 mm deep.

Make sure that the leadholes are exactly centered on the perchbait. Otherwise the lure hangs to one side.

Weights

Shape

Just round off all edges with a woodrasp or woodfile. Slightly narrow the tail from the vertical line on. Just reduce the width about 3 - 4 mm. This way it has a better wobble. Make sure that the nose-eye is exactly in the center.

*** The optional second screw-eye gives a different action ***

Hooks

Gamakatsu trebles: Size 1 or 2.

If you use trebles of another brand go up one size.

Type of jerkbait

The perchbait is a floating and flanking diver. It can be made suspending or slow sinking as well. You can even troll or crank it back.
