Wood

Pine wood, 25 mm thick.

Leadholes

Drill a hole of 10 mm deep and use a dril with a diameter of 12 mm. Make sure that the leadhole is centered in the belly so the lure doesn't hang to one side. Please look at the stencil for the exact location of the leadhole.

Shape

Saw out the top view stencil.
Narrow the back and the belly to the tailend.
Use a half round wood rasp to make the undercut chin.
Round off the sides and head, keep the belly and back flat.

You can cut the tail out of a stainless steel plate. But if you can't or just won't you can buy the taillip at Moores Lures.

Hooks

Three trebles size 4/0, brand VMC or Eagle Claw.

Instead of cotterpins you can use 26 mm long stainless steel screweyes as well.

Type of jerkbait

A diver with a great saw-like action.
It dives in a straight line if you pull it with 60cm long strokes and it raises after the stroke.
