Wood
Beech, 25 mm thick.
Leadholes
Drill a hole about 5 cm from the nose, 10 mm deep and use a dril bit of a diameter of 12 mm.
Make sure that the leadhole is centered in the belly so the lure doesn't
hang to one side. Please look at the stencil for the exact location of the leadhole.
Shape
First draw the two lines to show that this part stays 25 mm thick. Then narrow the bait's head to a point which needs to be in the center. The narrow the tail-part to 10 - 12 mm. Why start at the head? Well, if the tail was shaped first, you would be unable to place it in a work-bench because it would move all the time. You don't want that! (the picture is a top-view)
After that just round off all the edges.
Hooks
Gamakatsu trebles size 1.
If you use trebles of another brand go up one size.
Type of jerkbait
Superslow rising bait that dives, when fished with long pulls of 50 - 100 cm.
Dives up to 1,5 m deep. It flanks like no other, but beware to place the nose-eye right in the middle.
Stencil
The stencil below has the correct size. Print and use it.
