Wood

Use a beech plank of 3 x 5 cm. Use one of the flat (3 cm) sides for the belly.

Leadholes

Front: 12 mm diameter, 15 mm deep.
Back : 1 cm diameter, 10 mm deep.

In order to drill te fronthole place the drillbit +/- 3 cm from the nose (centered). And for the backhole place the drillbit 12 mm from the tail (centered). It's important to place a drawn line on the belly to get the exact center of the 3 cm wide plank. Otherwise the lure hangs to one side.

Shape

Just round off all edges with a woodrasp or woodfile.
Make sure that the nose-eye is exactly in the center.

Hooks

Gamakatsu trebles size 2/0. If u use trebles of another brand go up one size.

Type of jerkbait

A glider, originally floating, that dives from left to right. Best fished with short, slow pulls. If you prefer a suspending or slowsinking version, just drill each leadhole 3 - 4 mm deeper. This will give the lure a better glide. If you weight these to be suspending gliders, you should fish them with short, sharp twitches if 6-8" long. They tend to turn on their side when changing from left to right.

Stencil

A few fineshed lures
